How to read a traffic report

Visits are not unique visitors

One person can generate several visits. Estimated monthly visits describe website activity, not unique users, app downloads or revenue. Smaller websites may lack sufficient data; missing data does not mean zero traffic.

Compare periods before comparing growth

Check the data month and measurement scope before comparing websites. Do not compare a partial month with a complete month. Seasonality, campaigns and news can all affect traffic; a one-month increase does not establish sustained business growth.

Read acquisition, audience and engagement together

Acquisition channels describe where visits come from; country shares describe audience geography. Read these alongside visit duration, pages per visit and bounce rate, but do not infer conversion rates from traffic alone. Ordinary traffic-channel history is not currently available in TrafTruth.
