Who we are

Human Continuum Inc, Delaware, United States, operates TrafTruth and is responsible for the processing described here. Contact support@traftruth.com with privacy questions or requests. This policy covers the TrafTruth website and apps.

Information used to deliver reports

We process the domain or public page URL you submit and, when you choose live search, your search terms, country and language. Requests pass through our server to relevant data providers or the public website being inspected. Network requests also expose technical information such as IP address, request time and user agent to the receiving infrastructure. Do not submit private URLs, credentials or sensitive personal information.

Account, monitoring and device storage

Email sign-in is optional. If you sign in, we store your normalized email address, account ID, hashed session credentials, followed domains, research notes, notification preferences and limited traffic snapshots so TrafTruth can sync your workspace and detect material product changes. Your device stores the session credential, language preferences, recent shortcuts and local copies of followed websites. Without sign-in, these shortcuts remain local. Full report responses are not persistently saved on the device or in the account workspace.

Chrome extension

Opening TrafTruth from the browser toolbar or page context menu automatically requests a report for the current public domain. Refreshing or reopening uses allowance only when fresh data is required; cached views and switching report views do not. Changing tabs does not start background reports. Product name and description may be read locally from authorized page metadata; page body and form contents are not uploaded. Reports send the normalized domain and either a server-signed installation credential or account session. Signed-in users sync followed domains and research notes; reports remain in panel memory.

Subscriptions and usage

Apple or Google handles store payments; RevenueCat helps verify purchases, entitlements and restores. This processing uses app/customer identifiers, purchase and subscription records, and relevant device or app information. We do not receive full payment-card details. Our usage database stores keyed hashes of subscriber and domain identifiers, a usage period, reservation identifier and timestamp to enforce quotas and prevent abuse. Hashing is pseudonymization, not a guarantee of anonymity.

Purposes, alerts and sharing

We use information to provide requested reports, manage purchases and allowances, sync followed products, detect material traffic changes, respond to support, maintain security and meet legal obligations. If you explicitly enable the weekly digest, our email provider processes your email address and message delivery data; you can turn the digest off from Saved at any time. Service providers may process necessary information for hosting, data retrieval, subscription management and email delivery. A licensed data provider receives the website domains needed to return requested research data; page audits contact the requested public website. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. User-initiated sharing sends the selected report card or domain link to recipients you choose. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Optional research-demand statistics

The current default configuration does not collect research-demand statistics. If enabled with an updated notice, this feature aggregates successful lookups by registrable root domain and UTC month, without storing user IDs, IPs, full URLs or report metrics in that aggregate. Private tenant domains are excluded. A query does not automatically become a public page. Public research requires separate editorial review.

Retention

Local shortcuts remain until removed or app/browser storage is cleared. Account sessions expire after 30 days; account profile, followed domains, notes, notification preferences and monitoring snapshots remain until deleted or a valid privacy request is completed. Email verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Server report and feature caches are short-lived; report caches default to six hours and page-audit caches to fifteen minutes. Usage-record cleanup removes periods older than thirteen months when the store initializes; operational cleanup and backups can affect final deletion timing.

Choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact support@traftruth.com; we may verify your identity and explain any legally required retention. You may also complain to a competent privacy regulator. Deleting local history does not delete subscription or billing records.

Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you by delivering reports, account sync and subscription access; for our legitimate interests in securing, operating and improving the service; with consent for optional email digests; and to comply with legal obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests where the law provides that right.

United States privacy notices

Residents of California and other U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of covered personal information, and to appeal certain decisions. TrafTruth does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights. Submit a request to support@traftruth.com.

International processing and security

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Applicable protections may differ from those in your location. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Where legally required, cross-border processing must use appropriate safeguards.

Cookies, children and updates

The current website does not include advertising trackers or third-party marketing analytics. Essential device storage supports app functionality. TrafTruth is not directed to children under 13; contact us if you believe a child provided personal information. We may update this policy and will provide additional notice where required for material changes. The revision date identifies this version.
